We’re seeking a Customer Journey Mapping Consultant to support short-term, high-impact projects focused on deeply understanding and improving the end-to-end customer experience.
This is a freelance opportunity ideal for someone with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills who can uncover insights, visualize journeys, and influence cross-functional strategies with clarity and confidence.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
We’re seeking a Customer Journey Mapping Consultant to support short-term, high-impact projects focused on deeply understanding and improving the end-to-end customer experience.
This is a freelance opportunity ideal for someone with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills who can uncover insights, visualize journeys, and influence cross-functional strategies with clarity and confidence.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
The candidate in this role will support our Chief Journey Mapper, who will be acting in the overall Engagement Leader role, in periods when he is swamped.
“Support” would involve working on parts of a project, but not limited to, the following:
- Creating journey maps based on qual & quant research executed by other Gold team members, or
- Guiding our qual moderators on discussion guide development, or
- Guiding our quant researchers on survey development, or
- Creating executive summaries from qual and quant reports and other deliverables, etc., or

Moderating qual sessions if needed.
✅ You’re a Fit If You Have
- 10+ years of experience in customer journey mapping.
- CCXP Certification Preferred.
- Proven expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Strong storytelling ability—can turn data into engaging, strategic narratives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and operations teams.
💼 Bonus Points For
- Experience in B2C and/or B2B journey mapping projects.
- Background in CPG, retail, tech strongly preferred.
